COME ON.......SERIOUSLY

Well last Tuesday started out like any other day getting the kids off to school running some errands for Jason and, then picking the kids up from school. Then my day took a turn my little trouble maker Keiton decided he would get a butch knife out of the drawer to play with!! Yes I did say butcher knife and by the time he got into me he had already done the damage I hear him screaming look over at him and he had the knife in his hand and dropped it I was on the phone with Jason and said to him I gotta go hung up on him and ran to Keiton by this time blood was pouring out of somewhere but the problem was there was so much I had no clue where it was coming from so now I'm panicking he is bleeding EVERYWHERE!! I'm trying to find the injury and I can't I don't know what to do so I call Jason back and tell him I need you home NOW!! He keeps asking what is going on and at this point I say to him I got to go I need to call 911!!!! So I hang up my house is a disaster and I still haven't found where the bleeding is coming from so the thoughts go thru my mind I can't call 911 my house is a freaking mess I can't have all thoes emergency people here with my house looking like this!!! (I know that sounds twisted and sick my child is bleeding and injured and I don't want to call 911 because my house is a mess!) So then a thought comes to me I will just drive him to the ER myself but how he is bleeding everywhere and I still don't know from where. At this point my other 3 kids are FREAKING OUT! I tell Caden I need you to get me some help by now Keiton is COVERED in blood his whole face, his jeans, shirt, arms my hands jeans and I'm sitting on the tile with him and it is all over the tile just running like a faucet. Caden runs and gets the neighbor, and then that creepy little thought Oh No my house they can't come in my house so I will go to the front door and maybe we can just leave to the ER and no one will see this place so I take keiton to the front door and I see the neighbor come running across the street bare foot and all he gets to me and sees the bloody mess and whats the first thing he does runs in my house for a towel to start cleaning up the mess and find where the heck all the blood is coming from. YES I would have been better off just calling 911 because at least they would have been strangers now my neighbor has seen my embarrasingly messy house. So here he comes running with the towel back outside to me doensn't see the step and fly's out my front door and falls right on his face!! Can this get any worse? Anyway we find the cut. He somehow managed to cut the whole pad off his index finger (I had no idea fingers bled that bad!!) and he was just flinging his hand around and the more he flung it the more he spread the blood so it look like it was coming from his face when really it was his hand. So he gets my car keys and I think at this point my neighbor starts to panic I jump in the backseat holding Keiton and he puts his seatbelt on and keiton and I are in the back praying for the best! He is flying around corners driving like a mad man gets on the freeway and floors my car I am in the back reading the speed ometer and it says 90 I'm thinking oh my heck please don't kill us for this!!!! He takes the wrong freeway exit so were headed the completly wrong way I say to him UM your going the wrong way!! So he hurrys takes the next exit and turns around. We finally get to the ER Jason meets us down there we wait in the waiting room for 3 hours they FINALLY get us to a room to wait another 2 hours they come in to stitch him up and Jason well to put it lightly he hates all things like that so the whole time we were in the room waiting for them to come in I could tell he was getting anxious he said to me you can hold him down. WUSS! Anyway they come in and start the stitches and I am holding his arms and upper body Jason takes his legs. WUSS! So they begin and Jason takes out his phone and askes can I take a picture? The doc. says sure so he takes a picture......and the doc. continues to stitch the nurse is assisting and I am holding Keiton and then all of the sudden out of the corner of my eye I see Jason lying on top of my poor baby I look over at him and begin to yell at him what the heck are you lying on the baby for then I realize he's not lying on the baby he freakin PASSED OUT!!!! I couldn't believe this (well actually I could) so then my adrenaline kicked in and all by my self picked him up off Keiton mind you this is complete dead weight floped his head back he is white as a ghost eyes rolled back in his head he is completely GONE!!! I put him genlty on the floor all the while the doctor continues stitching and the nurse comes over and we are yelling his name then finally he opens his eyes and the nurse is standing over the top of him and she says welcome back he looks totally confused and says oh did I pass out UMMM YES YOU WUSS!!! So needless to say they finished Keiton and then made Jason lay on the bed until he got his color back. What a day....... moral of this story keep your house clean at all times and don't go to the ER durning cold and Flu season keep all knifes locked up and NEVER allow my husband to be present during medical procedures!!!!!

MMM My Husband......

We always have days in our lives when we are left standing shaking our heads and wondering "what the heck were you thinking?" Today happend to be one of thoes days. Keiton has been sick with mono (how the heck he got that is beyond me) so I have spent the last few nights up with him. This morning being a holiday and no school for the kids I decide to try and sleep in. I did say try.... So Jason was leaving for work he came upstairs to our room to say good-bye and I could tell he was running late due to his grabbing my face and giving me a quick kiss and I love you. Just as I turn over and snuggle back into my bed all of the sudden I hear a screeeching and smash then a car alarm going off!!!!! I fly out of my bed pull the blinds up and look out in the street I knew I had just heard a car wreck that sound is not mistakable for anything else, but I see nothing so I run to another window and still nothing. So I start to run down the stairs to go outside to see what is going on when I hear the door into the house from the garage slam shut! OH NO! Here comes Jason walking briskly by me not saying a word. I walk out the garage and look and yep......just as I thought he was in a hurry and forgot that my car was behind his and yes you know the rest he HIT my car!!!! I stood there not saying a word just watching as he rushed around me ever so angrily and then left for work. So I called our insurance comany and our conversation went something like this.........

Me: Hi I was just wondering if you could tell me how much my deductible is
Ins. Lady: Sure $250.00
Me: Ok good well I need to make a claim
Ins. Lady: Ok what vehicle and what happened
Me: My Yukon
Ins. Lady: What happend to it
Me: Um my husband was in a hurry and forgot to look behind him as he was pulling out of the garage this moring and crashed into it
Ins. Lady: Silence....sounds of holding back laughter.....not a good morning at your house
Me: Oh fine for me not him
Ins. Lady: When did this happen
Me: Oh about 5 mins ago
Ins. Lady: Oh WOW!
Me: Is this gonna raise my ins rates
Ins. Lady: No because it was in your own driveway and you did it to yourself there were no other drivers involved
Me: MMM Good........Mental note if your gonna get in a wreck do it with yourself in your own drive way with 2 of your own cars!

Anyway I called him to let him know the good news and at that point start laughing at him all he could say is "I don't see what's so funny" Well I do next time look behind you AHHHH!!!!

October, November, and December...... In Three posts or less I hope

Notice Marlies clothes we had to stop at the gap and buy her a new outfit after she fell in the ocean. We were about an hour from our hotel. They were clearing out school uniforms so I paid 8.00 for the whole outfit:)

Lets start mid October we took a HUGE Suprise trip to Disneyland we didn't tell the kids we just secretly packed them up told them we were going to the state fair picked up grandma and grandpa and headed to the "state fair." Then I said to them "I have a better idea lets go get on an airplane and go to Utah to see Tonya" sounds fun right........ boy was I wrong tears and all they just wanted to go to the fair so we get to the airport put them on the curb and they are all crying (wish I had a picture of that). So after a few minuets life was good again we are on our way to "UT" so we get off the plane and Tonya is there in "UT" waiting for us. The whole time they had no Idea we were in California and right by Disneyland so we get to the hotel and the fireworks are going Caden asks Tonya what are the fireworks for she tells him must be a baseball game. We start to drive around downtown Disney and see how long it takes unitl Caden starts reading the signs that say Disneyland it took about 5 minuets and all of the sudden he yells out were not in Utah were at Disneyland needless to say the screeming was so loud and now they were happy!!!! So we spent 2 days at Disneyland and then we got to go to the beach and an Aquarium. We had a great time and thanks to grandma and grandpa Blake who kept Keiton so we could really have a good time!!!

There was a scuba diver in the huge tanks at the aquarium, and they would come over to the glass and play with the kids they thought that was so fun.

When we got back from Disneyland it was time for Halloween and our carmel apple traditon.

We love to make these things and only do it once a year because I LOVE THEM! Need I say more. Halloween was fun Tonya was able to come and trick or treat with us. Jason borrowed Tonya's costume doesn't he look......well festive. We had a Pirate, Hannah Montana, Little Mermaid, and a little Giraffe. Life was low key for about 3 weeks until Thanksgiving then Averie had her little Thanksgiving feast at school, then Thanksgiving was here. We hosted the Blake side Thanksgiving at our house this year, we had a pretty large group but it was fun. Then the next day I woke up to keiton devouring the rest of the beautiful chocolate cake Michael brought over. Tonya and Jeremy were here so we were able to go to the Temple lights and catch a

3-D Imax movie. Tonya and Jeremy were supposed to leave on Monday but due to an unforseen event their trip lasted about 4-5 days longer:)..............That was it and on to December.........whew!!!!

WHY ARE BOYS SO RANDOM AND GROSS?

I know boys do gross and indecent things. But WHY? Sunday morning I wake up my kids to get them ready for church (@8am). Averie is up first and is in the bathroom. Caden gets up next and also goes in the bathroom and sees the toilet is occupied so rather than going to 1 of the other 2 toilets in the house he simply decides he would relieve himself in the bath tub! WHAT THE HECK? He doesn't even bother to rinse it out either. So Jason goes in the bathroom and see's what has come to pass. Jason is pretty even key until it comes to that type of thing . All along I am in my room getting ready for church and have no idea what has happend....... until I hear Jason yell if you do that again I'm gonna pee all over you. What in the heck is happening then Averie appears, I ask what is going on in there? She tells me Caden went pee in the bath tub. Lovely, I asked Caden why did you do that and he just said I don't know. MMMM me either. I'm sure this is only the begining of these types of random gross and indecent acts that will come from my 2 boys. But I guess boys will be boys!

SERVICE

Jason and I think it is very important to teach our children about serving others and that life isn't all about us. So on Friday afternoon after Jason got home from work we decided to take advantage of the beautiful 99 degree weather and go on a family bike ride. On our way home we passed an older woman working in her yard pulling weeds, we rode by her and waved. I had a feeling this would be a wonderful oppertunity to teach our children about service. I yelled ahead to Jason to stop and told him we needed to go back and help the woman. He agreed so we turned around and without telling the kids anything. I parked my bike got off and began pulling weeds Jason did the same and the kids followed. Not one of them asked one question of why or how come but just started pulling weeds and then helped her gather them and put them in her trash barrel. Even after we left they never asked why did we do that, or do we get money now? There was a great feeling there and I could tell the kids could truly feel the spirit of service and love for this woman. As I thought about this that night and that in just a few short months, my little Caden will be baptized and the choices he makes from then on, he will be accountable for, I am so thankful for the Savior and his sacrifice he made for each one of us. The love he has for us and that he showed us the greatest act of service known to mankind. I hope that I can instill charity in each of my children that it will be one of the desires of their heart to always love and serve not only each other but everyone around them, that they might know that charity is the pure love of christ.
